The U.S. Coast Guard is responsible for upgrading and expanding surveillance; communication, command, and control systems; and the Vessel Traffic Center of the Vessel Traffic Service (VTS).

VTS is a configuration of sensor, communication and decision support equipment that allows Vessel Traffic Center operators to efficiently monitor and issue advisories services to vessels in defined ports.

Maden Technologies’ support on this project includes:

• System Administration and Maintenance—for hardware and software systems, includes maintenance of operational equipment and assistance with on-site troubleshooting and software code debugging
• Configuration Management—configuration status accounting service to maintain a Government-established configuration management system
• Installations—planning for the efficient installation of hardware and software, including submission of planning documents and drawings showing conformance with Government requirements
