Omar
Maden
Chief Executive Officer
As
founder and CEO of Maden Technologies, Omar Maden oversees all aspects
of the company’s operations.
In 1966, Omar was drafted into the United States Army. During his
20 years of service, he served combat duty in Vietnam and received
several combat awards, including the Purple Heart. He served as
Deputy Director of the Tactical Air Control Systems/Tactical Air
Defense Systems, Joint Interface Task Force—a joint research
and development program aimed at standardizing command and control
systems for the military. Omar also spent four years at the Pentagon
and served as the United States delegate to the NATO Allied Data
Systems Interoperability Agency in Brussels, Belgium. In 1986, he
retired from active military service and founded Maden Technologies.
Omar graduated magna cum laude from Park University in Kansas City,
Missouri, where he majored in Economics, Political Science, and
Spanish. His graduate studies include Political Science at Southern
University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Information
Systems Management at the University of Southern California.
Omar serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of Park University
and Park University Enterprises, Inc., and is a member of the National
Association of Minority Business in Northern Virginia. He has been
awarded the Northern Virginia Urban League’s Special
Community Service Award (1998), the Northern Virginia Urban League’s
Corporate Award for Excellence (1995), and the Entrepreneur of the
Year Award (1994) from the Washington, D.C., Chapter of the National Black
MBA Association, Inc. Omar has been featured in articles appearing
in the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post,
and Park University Alumniad.
Away from the office, Omar is an avid golfer who enjoys traveling,
collecting art, and listening to jazz. |

Tommy
Osborne
Chief Technology Officer
As
Chief Technology Officer, Tommy Osborne leads the evaluation of emerging
information technologies, product development and corporate network
services. He is Program Director for the Commerce Information Technology
Services Next Generation (COMMITS NexGen) contract.
Tommy’s U.S. Army career included assignment as Army Materiel Command
CIO, and he has served on the Joint Staff, Headquarters Department
of the Army Staff, and has commanded Signal units through the brigade
level.
Tommy has a Bachelor and Master Degree of Science in Chemistry
from Prairie View A&M University, a certificate in information
technology from the University of Virginia, and held fellowships
at the National War College and Harvard’s Center for International
Affairs. He has managed multiple IT programs, and is an active member
of information, futurist, and military professional societies.
