Army Defense Message System
The
Defense Message System is the approved messaging standard for acquisition
and implementation throughout the Department of Defense. The system
provides secure, reliable, and interoperable organizational messaging,
supplemented by a global directory service.
Maden Technologies' Solution
For this effort, Maden Technologies performs on-going support in
the form of information technology risk management. Our job is to
provide scientific and engineering services for acquisition, testing,
and fielding of the Defense Message System for all required strategic
and tactical Army organizations. Maden Technologies evaluates, tests,
and offers recommendations on all Defense Information Systems Agency-approved
hardware and software for compliance with Army requirements. We
also review operational and functional requirements that affect
the Army Defense Message System. In addition, Maden Technologies
initiates and maintains extensive coordination with the Defense
Message System major command representatives to ensure proper transition
from legacy systems to the new one.
Maden Technologies supports the U.S. Army Directorate of Information
Management, directorates for Corporate Information, and other organizations
responsible for operating and maintaining communications and e-mail
infrastructure within their posts, camps, and stations.
