Communications
Security (COMSEC) is
the security discipline concerned with measures and controls taken
to deny unauthorized persons information derived from telecommunications
and ensures the authenticity of such telecommunications. Communications
security includes crypto security, transmission security, emission
security, and security of COMSEC materials.
Secure
Communications supported by Maden Technologies for the Army
Space and Terrestrial Communications Directorate (S&TCD),
include communications systems development and fielding, providing
technical support for the development and implementation of seamless
tactical communications throughout the digitized battlefield,
assisting S&TCD in its role as the focal point for Army space-dependent/based
C4I systems, and performing level two acquisition and sustainment
of CECOM inventories.
Cryptologic Security — Maden Technologies manages over
220 cryptologic controlled items for DARPA. We advise on the appropriate
devices, serve as alternate custodians for the devices and their
associated keying material. Our staff helps in the operation and
maintenance of there CCI as well.
